How to convert images to PDF

1. Drop in your JPG or PNG files, one or as many as you need.
2. Check the order in the list; each image becomes one page, top to bottom.

Converting a single image keeps its name, so passport.jpg becomes passport.pdf.

How the pages are built

Each image is embedded into the PDF at its own dimensions, so the page matches the picture rather than forcing it into a fixed A4 frame with white bars around it. JPEG data is embedded directly without re-encoding, which means converting a photo to PDF does not add a second round of compression or cost you any quality.

Because the image is embedded rather than rasterised again, the resulting PDF is roughly the size of the images that went into it. A dozen phone photos produce a large PDF; if you need it smaller afterwards, run it through Compress PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Which formats can I use?

JPG and PNG. If you have HEIC photos from an iPhone, convert them to JPG first with our HEIC to JPG tool, then bring them here.

Will the text in my photo be searchable?

No. The image goes into the PDF as a picture, so the words in it are pixels, not text. Making them searchable requires OCR, which this tool does not do.

Can I reorder the images?

Remove one and add it again to move it to the end. Pages follow the order in the list.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. The PDF is assembled in your browser and never leaves your device.
